Tuscan Sun Table Runner & Wall Hanging

In keeping with the theme for daughter Leslie’s housewarming, I made a few items that coordinated with the red, white and black colors.  The table runner is 46 X 20, made from a lovely batik I found on the quilting trip to North Carolina.  I combined or rather varied the snowflake pattern and quilted stars in each corner of the boarder.

The wall hanging, Favorite Cat, 28 X 21, has free-motion stipple in the red and the Kaufman black fabric made the cat stand out.  I added some beads.  A girl always needs jewerly.

Other items included were hand towels with black and white fabric strips added to the border and kitchen towels enhanced with lace (no photos).

Shades of Blue Diamond Table Runner

This table runner began as a placemat, but I added triangles to make a runner that measures 38 X 17.  This gave me an opportunity to practice free-motion stitching and an opportunity to use up scraps on hand.
