When it’s time for gift giving I love making something special for the occasion. I made a table runner for the bridal shower and later was able to finish a wall hanging (three leaves) for the wedding gift. In the rush to complete and wrap I forgot to take a photo of the completed table runner. I was able to capture a quick shot at the shower. Both pieces included blue tones that fit in the brides color scheme. Wall hanging size 22 X 14. I used techniques for appliqué from one of my quilting classes. Both patterns were found on All People Quilt, great website.
I love doing triangles and this quilt is a very simple design. The colors make it very pretty. I added the purple border and binding for contrast. I donated this one to the Virginia Library Association’s Paraprofessional Associates annual scholarship raffle. Finished size 67 X 61. Backing is cream muslin allowing the quilting stitches to show nicely.
